Defend and Build the Digital World
We live in an era powered entirely by data, networks, and digital infrastructure. This pathway puts you behind the screen and inside the hardware, training you to optimize advanced systems and defend critical digital assets against real-world threats.
A Day in the Command Center
Inside our IT lab, you will get your hands on real components, servers, and routing equipment. You will start by learning core programming languages and system algorithms, working to build, install, and maintain both corporate hardware and specialized software programs. As you advance, you will configure routers and switches, mapping out secure small networks and identifying vulnerabilities. For Cybersecurity students, your second year moves directly onto the Ivy Tech-Kokomo campus, throwing you into a collegiate tech lab environment where you simulate digital defense strategies and learn to mitigate complex network situations.
Where This Path Leads
You will graduate with the cutting-edge technical expertise and employability skills demanded by Industry 4.0. This track provides targeted preparation for the CompTIA A+ Certification Exam, which is widely recognized as the industry gold standard for tech professionals. Whether you are heading straight into corporate IT administration, network engineering, or an advanced degree in cybersecurity, you leave KACC ready to protect and power modern business.
