When you join our agriculture program, you are stepping into a vibrant, hands-on study of the world around us.

A Day in the Field

On any given day, you will be actively working with nature to bring classroom concepts to life. Our students run a live farm plot located right within the Kokomo Schools Outdoor Lab, alongside an active production greenhouse.

You will get your hands dirty preparing the soil, germinating seeds, nurturing plants, and watching your hard work grow throughout the seasons. When autumn arrives, you take charge of harvesting the crops and distributing fresh produce throughout our community. It is a great lesson in science, teamwork, and environmental stewardship all rolled into a dynamic outdoor workspace.

By taking charge of your own agricultural projects, you reinforce core high school science and math principles through real, tangible results. This hands-on foundation positions you perfectly to move straight into successful career paths like agricultural business management, commercial horticulture, professional landscaping, or advanced life sciences.
