Welcome to the Kokomo Area Career Center!

At the Kokomo Area Career Center (KACC), we believe in the power of hands-on, project-based learning. Serving over 1,250 students, we complement traditional classroom instruction with real-world application to pave the way for career success. Whether you are aiming straight for an in-demand, high-wage career or looking to knock out a year of college before high school graduation, your journey starts here.

In Kokomo Schools, trade programs never left; they evolved into modern Career and Technical Education (CTE). This isn't about changing the name or replacing the traditional 'shop class'—it's about expanding it. The foundation of our community has always been built on precision, grit, and a strong work ethic, and those enduring values are exactly what drive our state-of-the-art labs at the Kokomo Area Career Center (KACC) today. I am incredibly proud to lead this center, and that pride extends directly to our dedicated KACC staff. Our KACC instructors bring real-world industry expertise directly into the classroom, directly connecting our community's rich heritage of hands-on craftsmanship with the high-level technical skills and critical thinking necessary for our students' future success.

Jonathan Schuck

   KACC Director

Our programs provide unique, real-world experiences where you learn by doing. KACC students solve problems, provide community services, and create real products using the exact same professional scenarios and equipment used in the industry. We take immense pride in creating a structured, supportive environment across all of our state-of-the-art labs.

By collaborating closely with local businesses and industry professionals, we ensure our curriculum matches the real-world demands of the job market. Through internships, apprenticeships, and cooperative education, our students apply their skills in real settings, gaining a massive competitive edge before they even graduate.

Our core values of respect, perseverance, and excellence permeate every aspect of our school community. I invite you to explore our programs and see the endless opportunities waiting for you here at our Kokomo Area Career Center.

Let's build your future together!
