Master High-Performance Automotive Technology
Modern vehicles are mobile supercomputers. This pathway is a high-energy automotive lab designed for students who want to master the complex mechanical systems, computerized diagnostics, and custom fabrication required to service and restore modern vehicles.
A Day in the Shop
When you step into our automotive bays, you are stepping onto a live shop floor. In Automotive Service, you will pull up to active vehicle lifts, using advanced diagnostic tech to identify and repair complex electrical systems, anti-lock brakes, and traction control units. Across the shop in Collision Repair, you will work inside commercial paint booths, mastering technical dent removal, precise plastic filler application, vehicle priming, and custom airbrush designs. Every May, both programs join forces to host the annual KACC Car Show, where our collision students completely build and custom-paint the trophies awarded to participants.
Where This Path Leads
You will graduate with the technical capabilities and certifications required to enter the workforce at a premium level, including the ASE Maintenance and Light Repair certification. KACC transportation alumni move fast—many enter local shops and earn rapid promotions to shop foreman, service manager, or general manager, while others have moved onto high-octane careers working on active NASCAR and NHRA pit crews.
