A Day at the Design Bench
Our engineering lab is a hub of prototyping and advanced technology. You will utilize AutoCAD software to draft highly detailed blueprint drawings from scratch. Architectural design students focus on drafting homes, calculating dimensions, and mastering structural building codes. Mechanical design students sketch complex objects, creating detailed multi-view technical drawings. Once your blueprints are complete, you bring them to life in our prototyping lab, calculating forces, writing code, and operating commercial 3D printers and high-precision laser engraving systems.

You will graduate with a massive academic and creative advantage. Due to the professional portfolios built during this two-year track, multiple KACC architectural design students have earned direct admit status as incoming freshmen into the prestigious Ball State School of Architecture.
