Advanced Manufacturing II

Advanced Manufacturing II builds on classroom and lab experiences students experienced in Advanced Manufacturing I. Domains include safety and impact, drafting principles, manufacturing programming, CAD/CAM and CNC technologies, automation and robotics, and careers in advanced manufacturing.

Hands-on projects and team activities will allow students to apply learning on the latest industry technologies. Students continue this course with the goal of being a skilled machine operator, repair technician, or management at any company that produces goods and services using advanced manufacturing techniques.

Work-based learning experiences and industry partnerships are highly encouraged for an authentic industry experience.

Recommended Grade Level: 12
Required Prerequisite: Advanced Manufacturing I
Credits: 2 semester course, 2 semesters required, 1-3 credits per semester, 6 credits maximum
Counts as a Directed Elective or Elective for all diplomas
Qualifies as a quantitative reasoning course
